Happy LEAP day. An extra day in February - woooohoooo.
A new Wanda Land mix ready. (It's not like these are taking days to do; it's just been awhile since the last one.) I really like this song, a lot.
That's What Love's About by Wanda Land, with a little input from Kat Graham on the choruses.

Still here, folks...
Not much to report at the moment. I have another Wanda Land mix at the ready. I'm not going to post the song yet. We haven't collectively approved it.
I did find a new use for Drumagog, though. As far as I know, it is the only app. of its kind that will generate MIDI notes with their velocities, from an audio drum track. How accurately, I don't know, I haven't conducted serious tests. But it will do it, which means you're not limited to the stock Drumagog sounds. You can use the generated MIDI track to trigger anything you want, and that is very cool.

More Wanda Land mixes.
Her request list included bringing vocals out, drums wetter/louder (no problem, babe), improving sax tone.
Skeleton of Mine -
Lots of big rock guitars on this one, and we focused on sorting these out. As with previous mixes, I used the JoeMeek compressor plugin. Not exactly known for finesse, it gets the job done with no fooling around. I added some sparkly colors to three of the guitar tracks from the mighty H8000 (patch #5718 Mandel Worlds).
She's Got You -
I particularly like this one. Had I recorded the sax, I would have likely used a different mic/mic preamp. As it is, I had to work at making the timbre easier on the ears with some subtractive EQ and light compression, and spent considerable time riding gain on both sax and vocal to keep the sax from splintering the vocal track into little pieces. I paid close attention to variances in sax reverb, and used parallel compression on the bass for added sustain. The H8000 makes a few subtle appearances for color and dimension.
