Did a location gig today. We (agency producer, account executive, art director and I) drove a rented car to a community east of Knoxville, TN. to record a testimonial bit for a radio spot. The campaign focuses on small business owners who are customers of a large health care company.
I drove the rental car (charged back to the client, of course). We arrived, I set up, we recorded the lady's voiceover, I packed up and put my stuff back in the car, and the photographers began their shoot for the outdoor and print ads. My part took all of twenty minutes.
The agency producer and I go back many years, and she and I took a long drive around the countryside and talked about the biz while the photo shoot was going on.
A very pleasant way to make money, when you can get it.
